Selling Poverty
I have to agree on Pemprov DKI Jakarta to relocate the people living under the toll bridge. Selling poverty to gain support in this matter seems inappropriate. I think UPC should reconsider their approach.
JAKARTA, KOMPAS – Wali Kota Jakarta Utara Effendi Anas menegaskan, kolong tol bukanlah tempat yang layak, sehat dan manusiawi untuk dihuni. Urban Poor Consortium diimbau tidak melakukan agitasi atau provokasi warga untuk menolak relokasi dari kolong tol ke rumah susun.
Dia mengingatkan UPC dan LSM lain yang mengajak warga unjuk rasa ke kantor wali kota, Senin siang ini untuk tidak lagi menjual kemiskinan. “Sekali lagi saya ingatkan, membiarkan warga tetap di kolong tol sungguh keberpihakan yang tidak manusiawi,” katanya.
